Option 1 - Field Service and
Preventive Maintenance
Full service, emergency basis, 48 hour response time, twice yearly
(ship-in or on-site). Includes all parts, labor, travel costs and miscellaneous expense to bring your
instrument up to proper optional level. (In some remote areas a loaner until may be shipped, if available,
for use prior to a service representative arriving). No other costs for the customer will be incurred with
the exception of lamps. Lamp replacement for all instruments, except the Fluoroskan, are not covered.
Fluoroskan lamps are sold separately with a discount for contract customers and includes lamp installation
labor and necessary calibration and adjustments. East coast only travel. We reserve the right to inspect
and increase rates for instruments that are aged and have not been maintained by MTX Lab
Systems, Inc.
Option 2 - In-Shop Service and
Preventive Maintenance
This option covers remote service to places inaccessible for local
service of for those who wish to have complete cost assurance and budgeting controls for their instrument
maintenance and do not wish to purchase the Option 1 on-site service. This option covers in-house service
to your instrument when shipped to our service facility in Vienna, Virginia (outside Washington, D.C.) and
twice yearly cleaning and calibration. This option covers all labor, parts and calibration needs for your
instrument as long as the policy is in force. Normal wear items such as filters and lamps (Xenon and
Halogen) are not included. We reserve the right to inspect and increase rates for instruments that are
aged and have not been maintained by MTX Lab Systems, Inc.
Option 3 - Bi-Annual Preventive
Maintenance
This option cover two site visits per year for routine preventative
maintenance. This includes but is not limited to partial disassembly of the instrument, cleaning, optics
inspection, filter check, belt or drive ring cleaning, and calibration check and adjustment. A computer
operational check for the I/O port may be included. Any parts used such as lamps, drive belts,
"O" rings, etc. are charged separately. East Coast only. We reserve the right to inspect and
increase rates for instruments that are aged and have not been maintained by MTX Lab
Systems, Inc.
